4. | Pay and Grading -To be reviewed once matching has finished and statistics are available -Appeal mechanism yet to be established -Current delays have affected the advertising of new posts |
5. | Wilson Report -Discussion of the Wilson Report took place between the members of the Board -Mr David Yates stated that it was an excellent document to show HEFCE that the University was making headway, and that it was gratifying to see that some of the Board’s recommendations were being implemented |
6. | Educational Minutes -Overview of the various Committees and the role of Alice Sheridan discussed by the Board -To be reviewed after Professor Melveena McKendrick visits the Board this year |
7. | Oriental Studies Faculty -The Board discussed the recent events affecting the Oriental Studies Faculty -The Board will review this later this year |
8. (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) | Any Other Business Minutes on the Web -Jeremy Fairbrother, retiring Senior Bursar of Trinity raised the delay in Committee and Board Minutes being published on the Web -Dr Nick Holmes expressed the usefulness if Minutes are published promptly Council Elections -Ballot closes next week Member -E-mail was sent to the University Draftsman asking her to mention that there is still a vacancy in the Reporter but it has not been mentioned -To be reviewed by the Nominations Committee in January or February 2007 -Congregation on substantive motion next week Statute GII -About to be overhauled as part of the process of reforming the college contribution system |
