Council has decided to issue a series of Green
papers on key issues

Series of interim reports followed by a full
Report to be published by end of year

Review of Tripos is taking place with
responses by end of this term

Undergraduate Admissions Committee is
reviewing recent drop in State school students admissions and applications

Working Party set up to review support and
reward for teaching

Need to improve bursary support for graduate
students in conjunction with 800th Campaign

Further ssues raised included BOGS, CARET,
HEFCE,  good practice database, CMI, Bologna process, fEC,
and the interaction of PVCs with the Vice-Chancellor and Registrary

The Board particularly welcomed contact with
John Payne and were impressed by his grasp of the process

with staff regarding red-circling and the missing of deadlines, and the
moderation process
